De Warmste Week
This year, De Warmste Week comes to town right next to our office in Hasselt. De Warmste Week is an initiative of the Flemish television broadcaster and the well-known Belgian radio stations MNM and Studio Brussel. Every year a theme is chosen, and people and companies can raise money for one of the many charities that fall under it. This year's theme is 'Vlam mee tegen kansarmoede', a call to join the fight against poverty and deprivation.
Of course, Harmony wants to contribute to this fine initiative. But Harmony wouldn't be Harmony if we didn't turn it into a 'challenge'. So our CSR squad came up with 'the Tour of Harmony'.
The Tour of Harmony
As mentioned, Harmony is committed to the environment, society and people. By supporting at least a few charities every year, we do our bit for society. 'People' of course also includes our Harmonians and their well-being. So we came up with the idea of killing two birds with one stone. With the Tour of Harmony, we challenge our colleagues to walk or run a combined 3050 km within 1 month, starting today (21/11/2022). That is the distance between our four offices: from Den Bosch to Valkenswaard, Hasselt and Zenica, and back to Den Bosch.
With their own "Harmony Challenge" app, built by our OutSystems experts, colleagues can log their distances, see those of other colleagues and follow the progress. If our colleagues pass the 3050 km mark before 19 December, Harmony will donate 2000 euros to De Warmste Week. For every extra half or full round, Harmony will increase the amount. That way we don't just support good causes, we also invest in our colleagues' health by encouraging them to exercise.
During the final week, which starts on Monday 19 December 2022, Harmony will announce the result and hand over the amount raised to the radio hosts in person.
Curious whether our colleagues can complete 'the Tour of Harmony' (or more)? Keep an eye on our social media!
Within De Warmste Week, we chose 2 charities that are close to our hearts.
