Where did the idea to open an office in Bosnia come from?
Robert: "As a MuleSoft partner, we have seen good growth in recent years. To keep serving our clients as well as possible, we needed more colleagues. The shortage of MuleSoft developers in the Belgian and Dutch markets is still enormous, so we had to find a solution. We had been doing business with a nearshore partner in Macedonia for years, but to get more of a grip on the developers, we decided to open an office of our own. For us, it was important to set up our new office somewhere we could be sure of the quality of the team. Through an existing contact we ended up in Bosnia, where we have now opened our fourth office. With our new colleagues in Bosnia, we have a qualified, certified and motivated team of MuleSoft developers."
Henri: "Besides the need for more colleagues, we at Harmony attach great importance to corporate social responsibility. We didn't want to go too far outside Europe, but we did want to be able to contribute something to (local) society. So we felt it was very important to settle somewhere where we, as a company, can help people. For Harmony, it is crucial that our team is paid fairly and gets the support it needs. That makes Bosnia the ideal location to achieve that ambition."
What are the plans for the future?
Henri: "As Harmony, we want to become more and more important in the world of MuleSoft and systems integration. We already play an important role there, but we also see plenty of opportunities to expand further. Our ambition is to expand into other markets. Germany is very close to us, and with the Ruhr area (the largest industrial area in Europe) it is an interesting market with a lot of companies that could use help with systems integration."
Robert: "To make that expansion happen, and to further develop our integration solutions such as CareConnect, we want to grow the team in Bosnia from 5 to 30 people, including senior MuleSoft developers. We are sure that together we will deliver great projects."
