The customer as process operator with the CCM in the Cloud chain monitor

At Harmony, business empowerment is very important. Users of CCM in the Cloud (now: CustomerConnect) can put documents together themselves with tools such as Design Cloud (formerly WebDesigner) and Interactive Documents. But did you know that, as a CCM in the Cloud customer, you can also look over our colleagues' shoulders during the production process? With the chain monitor, part of our CCM toolbox, you are 'in control' here too.

What is the chain monitor?

With the chain monitor, you follow the production process closely. Within CCM in the Cloud, this tool is used to see at a glance whether there are disruptions anywhere in the process and where any problems occur. By checking that the incoming and outgoing numbers of messages or communications match exactly, we can guarantee that processing across the chain is always complete. And that's not all: the monitor also gives insight into the numbers of communications that are still 'on their way'. That lets us provide forecasts when our client asks for them.

Completeness checks

Our clients send messages to CCM in the Cloud through various channels. The communications that the platform produces from them are in turn passed on at the 'back end' to one or more service providers (print house, email service provider, etc.). To process a single message, the complete processing chain carries out numerous partial processing steps before the handling of the message is fully completed: a complex interplay of microservices that fit closely together. With the completeness checks that the chain monitor carries out, you can be sure that no messages get lost anywhere along the way during processing. And should a disruption occur after all, it is flagged in time so that it can be fixed quickly. Are there incoming or outgoing checks that are crucial for your organisation? They can be set up flexibly in the chain monitor.

Forecasts

CCM in the Cloud lets you carefully plan the moment when communications are sent, so that your customer is reached at the right moment (for them). You would rather send an email during the day than in the middle of the night. Large numbers of emails can be spread over different moments, which prevents a customer service department from being overloaded, for example. For such delayed sends, the chain monitor gives insight into the work in progress. Based on that, forecasts can be provided, so that a service provider is not caught out by a sudden peak in messages. The chain monitor gives you, as a CCM user, the tool you need to get direct insight into these numbers.
